Polar's Toneohm 700 has been designed to locate the source of two of the most common types of pcb and system faults, short circuits and stuck node/bus faults. Beside an ohmmeter and a DC voltmeter mode, the 700 can be switched into "trace the current" mode of operation. In this mode the "drive SOURCE" supplies square wave signals of 550 mV.
